Cornerstone: Acts 4

I am praying through the 28 chapters of the Book of Acts, one chapter per day, for my New Testament church. I post these prayer points on my blog as a resource for those who desire to not just read about the power and growth of the church, but want to see it manifested today in their own New Testament Church. Dare we believe it?
FATHER, according to Your Word and the principles of Acts 4...

* In this day of political correctness in regard to religious diversity, don't allow us to be fearful to offend others by truth which excludes any teaching that is not in the name of Jesus. May we boldly and fearlessly proclaim the gospel so that hardened hearts are disturbed, like the religious leaders in the days of the apostles (vv 1-3).

* Let many who hear the message believe, and may this number be of such magnitude that we know only the Spirit of God could accomplish this. Platform our pastor to speak to and believe you for souls in the thousands from one single message, should you so ordain it. (v. 4).

* May miraculous events in and through the Body and the local church cause people in the community to ask, "By what power and in what name have you done this?" (v.7)

* Let us never lose sight of the fact that Jesus is The Cornerstone and may we never reject Him (v.11).

* As we share the gospel with others, may we consider that no other religion teaches a need for a Savior, and no other prophet who has died has left an empty tomb like Jesus did. Cause those with whom we share to be aware, by the conviction of Your Spirit, their need to be saved. (v. 12)

* May we be empowered by the Holy Spirit in such a way that, regardless of our natural abilities, others will see and marvel at our confidence and the fruit of our work and know it is not of ourselves. May they say, "These men [and women] have been with Jesus." (v. 13)

* Increase our faith to believe that noteworthy miracles can take place in and through us; miracles that are apparent to all in such a way that no one can deny that what took place was in and by the Name of Jesus (v. 16).

* Regardless of threat or warning, compel us to never stop speaking about what we have seen and heard! Give us wisdom to the timing and the context, but may we never keep silent! (v. 19-20)

* May there never be a basis on which our pastor and leaders might be accused. Any false accusations that attempt to come against them due to a religious spirit, jealousy, rebellion or pride will be dropped, in the name of Jesus (v. 21).

* Stir us to join together and pray corporately. Challenge us to believe that we will be freshly infilled with a powerful touch of the Holy Spirit, and manifest His presence powerfully! But ABOVE ALL, may we speak the Word of God with more boldness as a result of this empowerment and visitation (v.31).

We agree,
in the Name of Jesus
and according to Your Word.
